For many, the month of March is seen as the official month of SPRING BREAK FESTIVITIES. While this is a joyous time for students who can find time to relax, and even for families and friends that may get together, it can also be a very dangerous one.
It is common for accidents like DUIs and even those considered more serious and fatal to occur, as this time period typically leads to alcohol use without proper consumption practices or driving precautions. Be sure your teen understands your stance on underage drinking. Know where your teen is headed if they are not traveling with immediate family. It’s also a good idea to speak with the parents of their friends to ensure and enforce everyone’s expectations regarding travel and general activities to help keep them safe.
Let’s be sure our students are sober and be safe during this Spring Break!
