Something’s Brewin’!

This spooky season, we’ve got a couple of things a’brewin’ in our communities!

First, the National DEA Rx Take Back Day…

CLEAN OUT THOSE MEDICINE CABINETS AND COME VISIT US! On OCTOBER 28TH from 10AM – 2PM, you can drop off your old, expired, or unused medications! Old, expired and unused medications that are present in the home provides easy access to prescription drugs and can be a set up for the adverse outcomes that may follow from potential misuse and abuse. Therefore, we encourage proper disposal of these medications. Proper disposal reduces the access which prevents the misuse! In Kennesaw, we have drop boxes at the Dennis-Kemp YMCA and the Kennesaw Police Department! Sharps (i.e., needles, Epi pens, etc.) can be brought but must be package properly—for details, contact Officer S. Luther ( In Lumpkin County, we have drop boxes at the Dahlonega Sheriff’s Dept.

You can check our social media for more details and other drop locations!

Second, the Halloween Bash & Resource Fair…

Parents, youth, and all are welcomed to meet Drug-Free Lumpkin 365 at Lumpkin County Middle School for the Halloween Bash and Resource Fair!
