Every year we recognize and celebrate Red Ribbon Week as an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drug use and misuse. Schools get involved by having different events and/or themes each day for the students to participate in! This helps to educated and continue to motivate our youth to live drug-free. You can contact your child’s school to see what they may have planned for their students. Community members can also get involved by hosting their own local events. This year’s theme is “Be Kind To Your Mind. Live Drug Free“, aligning with the fact that drug use can negatively alter the brain, especially that of youth whose brains are still developing.
