In Lumpkin County… NOT to Vape Means Staying Safe

Here, at CCAPSA, Inc., within all of our Drug-Free Communities and Coalitions, we stress the importance of prevention when it comes to youth and substance abuse. We pride ourselves with working within our communities to develop and disperse messaging to our youth that we hope discourages them from ever experimenting any type of substance (e.g., alcohol, tobacco products, vaping, prescription drug abuse, etc.).

With that being said, we would like to take a moment to highlight our Drug-Free Community in Lumpkin County! The Lumpkin County School system has a message for their students…

Be Smart, just Don’t Start!  Have PRIDE in the TRIBE!
Don’t be a NicoTEEN!

It is known information that tobacco products and vaping contain high concentrations of nicotine. When use by youth whose brains are not yet fully developed, it can ultimately change their brain chemistry in addition to causing other cardiovascular issues. Lumpkin County Schools want to encourage their students to stay safe and be a part of the healthy majority and never engage with tobacco products or vaping for this very reason. And we are proud to support these efforts! Great job Lumpkin County!
