Cobb County Store Fails “Under 21 Compliance Check”

Last month it was reported that a Cobb County alcohol retail establishment failed the “Under 21 Compliance Check”.

The check is often ran by the Cobb County police to see if alcohol retail establishments will sell alcohol to people who are under the age of 21. It is a policy put in place to reduce the prevalence of underage drinking by reducing minors’ direct access to alcohol.

According to Sergeant Dana Pierce, a total of eleven stores were checked on June 27th, and only one store, located in Austell, Georgia, failed the compliance check. The goal is to have all establishments pass the compliance check, but 10 out of 11 stores is a noteworthy accomplishment, also!
